Optical logic laboratory validation program

OpticalDT is developing a classical optical computing architecture based on controlled linear interference in passive multi-input optical junctions.

Current Phase I validation

The first verification milestone is a calibrated two-input interference logic cell. The experiment accepts the source and detector chain, sweeps phase from 0 to 2pi, and measures contrast, loss, drift, perturbation response, and repeatability.

What the laboratory system tests

Coherent optical inputs, controlled relative phase, polarization, a passive multi-input junction, photodetection, and calibrated thresholds. The junction is passive and linear: it has no gain and does not automatically restore logic levels.

Criterion-based roadmap

Later milestones test multi-input logic, cascading, measurement and control, and a review-ready report. Progression depends on evidence, component acceptance, and criteria closure rather than a guaranteed schedule.
